Refund policy

1. Our Commitment and Policy Basis

At drs leather, we stand by the quality of our craftsmanship. This policy is designed to be clear and firm, reflecting the unique, handcrafted nature of our leather goods. It is compliant with UK consumer law, which defines the absolute minimum rights customers have.


2. General Returns and Cancellation (Standard Products ONLY)

You have a statutory right to cancel your order and return standard (non-personalized/non-custom) products within 14 calendar days from the day you received the goods (the "Cooling-Off Period").

  • Mandatory Notification: You must notify us of your cancellation request by email to drsleaher@outlook.com within this 14-day window. Failure to do so may invalidate your return.

  • Return Shipment: Once notified, you have a further 14 calendar days to ensure the goods are physically shipped back to us.


3. Strict Conditions for Accepting Returns

We will only accept returns for standard products that meet all of the following criteria:

  • Absolutely Unused and Undamaged: The item must be returned in perfect, resaleable condition, free from any signs of wear, scuffing, creasing, odor, or damage. This includes wear from testing the fit or function.

  • Original Packaging: The item must be returned in its original packaging, including any dust bags, protective materials, and labels, all of which must be intact.

  • Proof of Purchase: The original proof of purchase (order number) must be included.

IMPORTANT: We will thoroughly inspect all returned items. If the item shows evidence of use or damage that reduces its value, we are legally entitled to reduce the refunded amount. This reduction will be calculated based on the diminished value of the product due to your handling.


4. Products That Are NOT Returnable (Exclusions)

The statutory right to a general return DOES NOT APPLY to the following items:

  • Bespoke, Custom, and Personalized Orders: Any item that is made specifically to the customer's requirements (e.g., custom sizes, unique hardware, specific colour combinations, or featuring initials/names/logos) is FINAL SALE. These items are non-returnable and non-refundable unless they are found to be faulty.


5. Return Shipping Responsibility

  • Cost: The customer is solely responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning the item to us. These costs are non-refundable.

  • Risk: The goods remain the customer's responsibility until we receive them. You must use a tracked and insured shipping method to ensure safe delivery. We are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.


6. Faulty Goods (Legal Guarantee)

This policy does not affect your legal rights regarding faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • If a product is genuinely faulty, damaged, or significantly not as described, you must contact us immediately.

  • In cases of genuine fault, we will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping.

7. Refund Processing

  • If the return is approved, the refund will be processed within 14 calendar days of us receiving the item or proof of return.

  • We will only refund the basic cost of the item and the cheapest standard shipping option, provided the entire order is returned. Express shipping costs will not be refunded.

  • The refund will be issued to the original method of payment.
